"College Student Readiness"
Program
This disaster preparedness program was initiated by San Diego Health
and Human services for incoming University and Community College
freshman. The overall goal is to increase the number of students
that create evacuation plans, emergency kits, and communications
plans.
My contributions include instructional strategies, learning objectives,
needs assessment, content analysis, and delivery methods (Email
and Peer Distribution).
I also designed and developed a double-sided, instructional job
aid as a support tool for students.

web-based tutorial serves to assist undergraduate students in
the College of Education in passing the Math Placement Exam (Part
LS), which is part of their credentialing process. It was created
for Dr. Janet Bowers, Associate Professor of Mathematics at San
Diego State University.

My Story
A fun assignment in Dr. Robert Hoffman's course "Learning
Environment Design" required students to 'invent' a new
educational software program and/or hardware device.
I designed and developed this
prototype, an interactive, voice-activated storybook for toddlers
and young readers. Tasks included market research, concept development,
interface design, grahpics, and usability testing. |

This
article explores media literacy and the digitial divide. It
was presented at the American
Educational Research Association's 2004 Annual Meeting.
I co-authored the article with Dr. Minjuan Wang. My contributions
