The goal of this lesson is to improve your "number sense" and further build your understanding of important math concepts. This refers to your ability to use reasoning and mental estimation to solve problems accurately and efficiently. When taking tests, it may be tempting to rely on formulas and tricks, but such methods can be time consuming and confusing.

When presented with a set of 5 fractions, you will be able to place them in order from smallest to largest, without using a calculator. You will also be able to this through mental estimation and by relying on your number sense.
